Little River has won a total of twelve medals in recent wine competitions both within North Carolina and Internationally.
In the 2011 & 2010 Indy International Wine Competition in Indianapolis Indiana, Little River received a Bronze medal for their 2009 Chardonnay and in 2011 Little River received a Silver medal for their Riesling. The Indy International Wine Competition is the largest scientifically organized and independent wine competition in the United States, the world’s largest wine market. More than 3,000 commercial entries from 12 countries and 39 US states are evaluated by our distinguished 80 judges.
Within North Carolina, Little River has gained attention with its eight awards, including Double Gold for its 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon at the North Carolina State Fair. Also, awarded at the State Fair were three silver medals for 2009 Sauvignon Blanc, 2008 Niagara, and Strawberry Wine.
At the Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition held at the Dixie Classic Fair in Winston-Salem, Little River won Gold with their 2009 Sauvignon Blanc, Silver with 2009 Chardonnay, 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, and Bronze with 2008 Niagara.
